The Presidential Task Force on COVID19 says it will do anything to ease the strain of the coronavirus outbreak on Nigerians.

The chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID19, Boss Mustapha, says the country is exploring every avenue to fight the coronavirus disease, including asking President Muhammadu Buhari to import a planeload of herbal tea touted as a cure by the government of Madagascar.

Madagascar's President Andry Rajoelina launched the herbal tea, named COVID-Organics, last week, claiming that it has cured two people already.

The government started handing out the herbal tea for free to citizens last week, even though the country's national medical academy has warned that no scientific evidence has been established that it works.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has also warned against the widespread use of untested remedies.

While speaking during the PTF's media briefing on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, Mustapha said the task force is keeping tabs on everything happening regarding the coronavirus across the world.

"I was reading of the experiences in Madagascar of why everybody is drinking some solutions that have been prepared.

"This morning I was sharing with my wife and I told her that probably I'll request Mr President to allow us import a planeload for a trial.

"We're all navigating uncharted course. Nobody has ever been on this road," the Secretary to the Government of the Federation said.

WHO says Coronavirus Will Be With Us for a Long Time + Other Updates

On Wednesday, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Gbebreyesus, said about 2.5 million cases and over 160,000 deaths related to the coronavirus have been recorded globally, during his opening remarks at a media briefing on COVID-19 in Geneva.

He said that WHO had noticed different trends of the virus spread in different regions, saying most of the epidemics in Western Europe appear to be stable or declining.

He, however, said, “Although numbers are low, we see worrying upward trends in Africa, Central and South America, and Eastern Europe. Most countries are still in the early stages of their epidemics. And some that were affected early in the pandemic are now starting to see a resurgence in cases”.

Tedros Ghebreyesus issued a sober warning. “Make no mistake: we have a long way to go. This virus will be with us for a long time”.

He added that “There’s no question that stay-at-home orders and other physical distancing measures have successfully suppressed transmission in many countries”. He, however, said the virus remained “extremely dangerous.”

Speaking about the desire of many to see the lockdown orders lifted, he said, “One of the greatest dangers we face now is complacency. People in countries with stay-at-home orders are understandably frustrated with being confined to their homes for weeks on end.”

Blackmail Toke Makinwa & Tacha? Ha! Think Again 🤨

Blackmail Toke Makinwa & Tacha? Ha! Think Again 🤨

Toke Makinwa and Tacha just proved they’ve developed a thick skin to mischief makers who might want to tarnish their name by publishing ‘edited/false images’ of their nudes unless they pay them some attention.
It’s really so sad that blackmailers are going to this extent to extort people, especially the womenfolk. Just of recent, it was Nigeria’s foremost queen of fuji, Salawa Abeni and she gave her blackmailers a masterclass on how to kill negative energy.
According to Toke, she received an email, from someone stating that an unknown user sent her naked photos to be published on a website. She shared a screenshot of the mail she received, and the sender stated that the photos are yet to be published and they need a response from her. If not, they’ll assume she is cool with the photos going up on the internet.
Same goes for Big Brother Naija’s star, Tacha. It seems the same sender that’s responsible for the mail sent to Tacha.
But guess what! The photos aren’t even real.
Toke wrote:
Is this really how low we’ve become? I understand that things are hard, I get that feeding off each other and scamming people will be on the rise but I’ve never and would never negotiate with con artists/scammers. I am sharing this ahead of your threats to release these edited/false images cos this is disappointing, this is not humanity, there is a pandemic killing people and there’s also certain human beings wanting to exploit people in a time when we should all spread love and kindness. Stop with your bloody emails already 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. I am not the one, not yesterday, not today, not ever. I don’t have any money to give you.
Meanwhile, these are the real photos and she was all covered up.
Tacha wrote on Twitter:
You’re trying to have a good day, you wake up to messages from your team telling you to check your mail, you check your mail only to find this!! I have to deal with evil demeaning dms everyday!!! Every ******* day!
Talking about “we will publish them?” Publish what? Edited pictures? Publish pictures you edited? And I and my team should feel threatened? The hate I deal with, I pray for strength!!

Vector Says The Coronavirus Is A Good Thing, Backs Up Point With Bible Verses

Nigerian rapper, Vector Tha Viper seems to have a different point of view regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

The coronavirus pandemic has birthed a lot of theories from people around the world. For some, it’s an eye-opener to see what the world really needs to value while others are ecstatic that corrupt leaders would finally get a chance to live in the same harsh conditions they subjected people to. Vector, on the other hand, seems to believe that the spread of the virus is a good thing for mankind.

He made this shocking revelation known during an Instagram live session with singer Sexy Steel. According to him, the coronavirus is a good thing because it has brought down the so called leaders of the country down to the same level of the citizens. He then backed up his point with a verse form the bible which is Romans 8v28 which says ” and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.”

According to him, the correct response from the clergymen should be to heal those that have become sick due to the virus. He added that if they can’t heal the sick they should keep mute and stop speaking like scientists and activists.
In his words: “Ok let me get this straight. These pastors that are never scientific in their response to anything and always claim some higher knowledge and power have suddenly turned to chart drawing, theory spewing scientists? Listen Nigerian Christians, regardless of our religious differences at the core we are siblings and cousins. The correct response of our religious leaders must be to heal the sick with their special powers, look I even forgive them for not foreseeing and forewarning is about this kind of monumental event, with all the new year services and predictions no single one saw covid coming, instead they are turning into scientist and activists.
They are opening church to act defiant, to use ur health as a bargaining chip to hold on to relevance? Please reject this nonsense. If you can’t ‘lay hands’ on our people at the isolation center and prove their power let them just be quiet and let others work. Drop money no, drop healing no, but u want to drop conspiracy theory?
